Designing AI interfaces for Research Mobile Apps

November 3, 2025 @ 11:00 am

  • « Numerical Programming with Python, Part I: Crash Course in Fundamentals
  • Frontiers in Computational Biosciences Seminar Series: Hooman Allayee, PhD, Professor-in-residence, Medicine, UCLA »

This workshop explores how human-centered UX design can support the integration of AI into research-focused mobile applications. We’ll examine how AI features, such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and agentic assistants, can enhance participant engagement, improve data quality, and facilitate efficiency. You’ll gain insight into how the UX design process applies to AI – from early UX research and journey mapping to prototyping and interface design. In this session, we’ll also discuss patterns for conversational interfaces, agentic tools, and approaches to accessibility – so you can learn how AI can help create smarter, more impactful research experiences.
