The XRI Design Subcommittee is thrilled to welcome XR designer, producer, and author Cornel Hillmann for a special Design Speaker series talk on UX for XR, as he examines the latest trends shaping XR and the future of experience design.
Discussing the new edition of his book UX for XR, Cornel will explore how recent advances in mixed reality and AI are transforming the XR industry, how the design thinking process is evolving, and what these changes mean for designers creating immersive experiences.
About the Speaker:
Cornel Hillmann specializes in user experience design for immersive technologies, with a focus that includes visual communication, interactive media, 3D design, and XR. Originally from Bremen, Germany, Cornel has enjoyed a professional life working in a range of distinctive locations, especially including Los Angeles and Singapore.
Cornel is the author of the newly updated second edition of his UX for XR, a practical guide to designing for extended reality that explores mixed reality, spatial computing, AI-assisted design, WebXR, and emerging immersive technologies. Through his consulting, writing, and workshops, he helps designers and organizations navigate the evolving landscape of XR and experience design.
